Festive Triple Cheese Boule with a Fig Jam Swirl and Cranberries

This is a traditional Christmas classic for me and I love this how this recipe is such a statement piece! I have a Taste Safari twist on this and have made this in smaller individual boules. They just look so adorable and are a nice surprise starter. Lovely crusty freshly baked bread with a crater full of melting, oozing molten cheese…heavenly!
By the way, I’m breaking some rules – but I do think this is a pretty snazzy addition for an after dinner cheese platter!

- 4 small round boules
- 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese (Monterey Jack if you can find it)
- 1 cup chopped camembert cheese, waxy skin removed
- 1½ cup cream
- 4 tsp fig jam / apricot jam if you can’t find fig jam
- 3 tbs dried redcurrants
- Heat your oven to 180 C degrees.
- Carefully slice off the rounded tops of the boule and set aside.
- Carefully pull out the soft bread inside, leaving a rounded cavity.
- Mix all three cheeses together until well combined.
- Pack into the bread cavities, filling nicely. Cover with their respective ‘lids’ and double wrap each boule individually in foil.
- Bake in the oven for 40 minutes. (This should be ideally 40 minutes before you plan to serve your guests.)
